For over 10 years own label contract baking has been a key focus of the business. Christmas cakes and  mince pies

Taste the sultanas, currants, apples and spices in our Mince Pies,  luxury Brandy Butter Mince Pies  and Viennese Mince Pies. Our Christmas cake is based on an original recipe of Emily Potts and includes sultanas, currants, orange and lemon zest and juice, rum and almonds.

Potts Bakers’ bread and breadcakes taste so good and keeps well because

  • we take the best quality flour and the recipe uses a long fermentation which brings out the bread’s good flavour
  • this taste is further developed by giving the dough time to rise – twice
  • then it is well baked to give either crusty bread or soft rolls which keep. We do some extra well baked, and even burnt, loaves at the special request of some of our customers.

Potts Bakers use locally produced ingredients where possible and was only baker in Yorkshire in Rick Stein’s original Food Heroes.
